Life After Allie

There are a lot of books that are being made into movies this 2016 and I would prefer to read them first before I hit the theaters to see the film. Even though I know that the book is better (isn't it always?)  than the film, I still find it necessary to know, interpret and understand the book by heart and visualize it through my own imagination. That is one of the undeniable, sustaining beauties of reading, seeing the characters and their motivations exactly as you like.

In every novel-turned-into-movie that I've read and see, I still end up liking loving the book more, I'm not really sure why. I sit back and watch it play out, and I do so with a changed eye, having read the books and I know how the story goes, and I know what I expect. That's why I whine so much when the actors cast in those movies don't live up to what I hope for.
